Senior Application Development Engineer (m/f/d) Polyurethane Additives Molded & Specialties Position Summary:
With your technical expertise you will support incremental businesses for existing and new product within our Molded & Specialties sub-segments of the Polyurethane Additives RMS segment. You understand trends and formulation technology needs for customers in the automotive and CASE industry and will propose the most appropriate additive solutions. In this role, you will be recognized as technical expert and become a learning and support resource globally

your responsibilities:

• maintain regular contacts with key customers in emeai region, understand day-to-day needs and suggest best use of niax additives * support sales by introducing existing and new ua products to customers, follow-up internal/external qualification work * give presentation at industry shows on polyurethane additives * prepare customer presentations and seminars featuring the benefit of momentive additives in the specific applications * support of new product introductions including formulation development, identification of new applications, product positioning and the creation of technical literature * deliver regular technical training on product benefit to salespersons and distributors * work closely with commercial, global marketing, supporting functions and ua technology to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for the automotive and case industry * ensure high safety standards are applied in all laboratory activities and comply to local ehs regulations and practices your qualification:
• university degree or equivalent, preferably chemistry background * long term experience in polyurethane, preferably including specific knowledge of flexible molded, integral skin, elastomers and semirigid foams formulation * ability to be effective with minimum level of supervision and positively interact with r&d and sales team in a matrix environment * proven ability to prioritize and concurrently manage multiple projects as well as to work in an environment of cross-functional teams * several years of experience in building sustainable customer and business relationships * strong customer orientation and high problem-solving skills * good communication, presentation and influencing skills * outspoken team player, strong social and intercultural skills * proficiency in ms office * fluent in english, knowledge of german and french is an advantage * travel requirements:

30-50% (mainly within continental europe), good connection to our technology center in leverkusen, germany additional details:
