THE POSITION As Demand and Supply Manager you ensure the global supply of compliant products produced by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) by coordinating SCM parts of BI regular supply, efficient product launches and production transfers. Tasks & responsibilities * In your new role, you manage the demand and supply situation of the respective products for allocated 3rd party manufacturers in our external production network. * You ensure routine market supply, launches and transfers including the optimization of all processes in the respective supply chain. * Even in case of bottleneck, you keep the overview and work in cross-functional crisis teams to minimize impact of supply shortages. * You lead or participate on Sales & Operations Planning meetings with CMOs and local Boehringer Ingelheim sites. * You are responsible for the SCM target setting, monitoring including development and coordination of corrective and preventive actions for all allocated 3rd party manufacturers. Requirements * Master's Degree / Diploma in Business Administration and/or Biopharmaceuticals or Bachelor's Degree combined with long term relevant work experience * Several years proven expertise in SCM and/or Sourcing in a multinational company, preferable in Bio-/ Pharmaceutical Industry * Ability to oversee and manage complex external and internal production network considering pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical requirements * Proven expertise in SCM, sourcing and supply processes & global strategy development and implementation as well as project management skills * Knowledge in Finance and Controlling concepts (e. G. Profit & Loss Statement, Cost of Goods Sold) * Ability to teamwork, staying customer and supplier focused in the presence of shifting priorities * Demonstrated negotiation skills with external partners (i.
