Our Engineering Graduate Development Programme has been designed to give you an immersive experience across a broad range of engineering areas. As well as receiving first-class training and support, you'll work alongside and learn from some of the most respected and highly qualified professionals in their field. To start with, your focus will be on developing in-depth knowledge in a specific engineering discipline and a particular area of the business. From this foundation, you can start your journey towards becoming a world-class specialist or a broadly skilled engineer, or developing into a leadership role. The Engineering Graduate Development Programme in Germany is specific for AeroEngines. What you'll do You'll complete four attachments covering the key stages in our engineering lifecycle:Define, Make and Verify. Each placement will last for around four months and will see you putting your mind to work on live projects - it's an opportunity for you to share your thinking and test your ideas from the word go. You'll be solving problems and getting involved in the design of integrated systems while keeping an eye on feasibility, customer need and cost. Everyone on the programme will complete a Design and Make attachment where you'll complete a real-life improvement project with other graduates. As part of a small team, you'll face up to a current company challenge or opportunity, and deliver a solution that offers direct value to a customer. You'll manage the whole project from start to finish, evaluating the problem, designing a solution, making a prototype, verifying that it works and then planning how to roll it out in the business using project management and systems engineering tools and techniques. What you'll need Technical abilities are a must. So you'll need at least a degree in an Engineering discipline as Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline supported by a strong academic background. A Master degree is desirable. Just as importantly, you'll have excellent communication skills and plenty of initiative. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Inquisitive and resourceful, you'll always be looking for new ways to make your mark and, because this is a rotational programme, you'll be flexible when it comes to where you're based. Experience as an intern or a semester abroad is desirable. Apply now! The application process is now open and will close on the 21st May 2020 at 11. 59 PM.
