Hobson Prior are currently working with a global pharmaceutical organisation who are driven to help improve and prolong life. Our client is seeking a Health and Safety Expert to join them on a contract basis in Darmstadt.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be subject matter expert for all EHS related topics at the construction site.
Conducting project safety inspections and orientations daily.
Conduct safety trainings as requested/required.
Support during the preparation of project schedules, operating instructions, hazardous operation assessments, work instructions and qualification measures.
Complete and track all items on the Environmental, Health and Safety Monthly Compliance Reports.
Observation and monitoring of worksite employees and safety practices as per site safety concept.
Other tasks and activities within the realm of the EHS profession within the manager's skills, abilities, certifications and authorizations.
Partake and assist the appropriate supervisors during an incident investigation.
Facilitate problem solving sessions to identify the root cause of an incident.
Safety and environmental paperwork, data management, communication, and audits.
Analyse and recommend improvements for safe work practices.

Key Skills:

Organization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task interfacing multiple client situations on any given workday.
Capability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Energetic, ambitious, self-motivated, assertive and an excellent communicator.
Able to meet deadlines, work independently without direct supervision, as well as in a team environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety and / or Health.
Experience of directly related solid experience in managing environmental, health and safety topics during the realization of a construction project.
Must have knowledge of German regulations and experience with regulatory training.
German language, professional standard.
