Specialist

The position owner is responsible to collaborate with other business functions to define and maintain the corporate data structure for Hamburg Süd globally. The position owner develops, rolls out and maintains the Data Readiness Framework for Hamburg Süd. The role is responsible to identify and manage external data sources and make them available to the company to support meaningful data analyses, enriched with data from outside the company.

Tasks

• Develop and maintain the company’s Data Concept
• Develop and roll out the Data Readiness Framework
• Pursue philosophy of one set of numbers
• Master Data management in alignment with other departments
• Coordinate BI data sources and strategic efforts across Hamburg Süd and Maersk
• Link BI efforts with ERP solution design
• Documentation of processes, data and data readiness
• Align and standardize KPIs
• Actively develop and participate in the BF BI agile project management
• Responsible for the assurance of the accuracy and consistency of data
• Liaise and coordinate with Maersk Business Finance and BI teams
• Actively participate in the global BI community

Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a Data Architect role within Business Intelligence
• Data architecture experience in data warehouse and corporate data environments
• 5 years of related industry experience and experience in transformation projects is a plus
• Fluent English in spoken and written
• Skills in relevant programming languages (R, Python, SQL and/or similar) advantageous
• Strong structural design skills and experience in change management
• DevOps experience in the context of DWH (big data cloud infrastructure experience is a plus)
• Passion for data, excellent analytical, process flow and problem solving skills
• Adaptable and able to keep the bigger picture in focus while navigating through a complex issue
• Ability to work both independently, as well as and as part of a cross-departmental team where innovative solutions are required
