Your assignment:


Support of Technology Development projects via modelling and development of:
  • CMOS active devices, passives and parasitics
  • high voltage CMOS devices and analog components
  • Design and characterization of test structures for development and modelling purposes
  • Support of modelling activities in view of validation and release of SPICE models
  • Interface with Micronas design centers to provide support to designers
  • Interface with Micronas subcontractors for model extraction and generation
  • Set up in house measurement and modelling techniques
  • Publish results using reports and presentations to Technology and Design community

Your Profile:

  • BSc, MSc or PhD. in any of the following disciplines Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microsystem Engineering preferably including electrical semiconductor device physics and design.

Essential Experience:
  • Experience in a device characterisation and SPICE modelling..
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, process and device simulation (TCAD).
  • Measurement and modelling of CMOS active devices and parasitics.
  • Hands-on knowledge of measurements for SPICE modelling.
  • Knowledge of SPICE model extraction software.
  • Interconnect capacitance and resistance models.
  • Statistical SPICE modelling – Monte Carlo and corner model extraction.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Use of lab measurement instruments.

Desirable Experience:
  • Use of circuit layout tools (Cadence/Synopsys).
  • Circuit & test structure design.
  • Understanding of CMOS process flow and integration.

Additional requirements:
  • Strong logical/mathematical approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of GDS-II layout and layout data flow
  • Understanding device physics equations and how they relate to the electrical behaviour
  • Capable of dealing with hands on bench test equipment
