Your tasks:

Designing, conducting and interpreting controlled condition experiments and field sampling which enable the determination of different apple root traits in structured soil, in particular :

• Determination of root traits with non-invasive (X-ray CT) and invasive methods
• Sampling and measuring volatiles in soil gas phase
• Integration of root traits and soil structural properties
• Statistical analysis and data integration
• Initiating and writing of integrated publications

Your profile:

• Degree (Master) in agriculture, resource management, soil science, biology or horticulture
• Experience with or interest in root studies
• Background in statistics
• Skilled in scientific writing
• Good skills in communication/ English language skills
• Ability to work independently and motivated to work in an interdisciplinary

team

• Driving license
