The Amazon Marketplace Professional Services (AMPS) team is seeking a Senior Manager, DE AMPS who is self-motivated, results-driven and capable of working in a dynamic environment to support the growth of Amazon Marketplace Paid Services (AMPS) in the DE. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new program and team in its first full year of operation, with large scale people management responsibilities (20+ team). You will also manage and be closely involved in the development and growth of the AMPS team in Berlin.

Amazon Marketplace Professional Services (AMPS) program seeks to improve the customer and Selling Partner experience on Amazon by working directly with Selling Partners to improve value, selection and convenience across their business. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, processes and people to grow the program, improve Selling Partner engagement and satisfaction and enable scalable global solutions through direct cooperation with the US, China and Japan Teams. This role will further work very closely with our Program Leadership team in Luxembourg.

As Senior Manager AMPS in DE you will be responsible for hiring teams of Marketplace Consultants and their managers across our Munich and Berlin offices, as well as recruitment heads and Escalation Process Specialists. You will be responsible for the experience of Selling Partners enrolled into the program in the DE, reacting rapidly to emerging insights into their needs and priorities. You will work closely with AMPS EU colleagues and the PM team based in Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Satisfaction and experience of Selling Partners using AMPS in DE for your teams
  • Delivering the DE enrolments and fees targets for AMPS for your teams
  • Hire top talent and support their professional development by identifying and creating opportunities for them to build their skill set
  • Build and deliver a strategy to meet your team level goals including Selling Partner Satisfaction using our AMPS Playbooks, and continuously strive to improve your team’s productivity as they focus on supporting their own portfolio of Selling Partners achieve their growth goals by becoming experts of the Marketplace
  • Developing the career paths and roles for individuals from L4 to L6 level in your organisation, collaborating with the EU AMPS training PM to develop training curriculums and certification for these evolving roles
  • Diving deep into the experience of Selling Partners using AMPS to help the EU AMPS team in Luxembourg develop our existing service offerings and assess to opportunity for new ones, working closely with our product managers for Selling Partner Experience and Service Offering development
  • Meet with Selling Partners to pitch AMPS services, understand their needs and support the DE engagement strategy
  • Identify the technology needs of Selling Partners and Marketplace Consultants on the programs to help shape the roadmap for the International Seller Services and WW paid services technology teams
  • Develop approaches to assessing the impact of AMPS activities on Selling Partner and Marketplace growth, shaping the business intelligence roadmap
  • Contribute towards the overall success of this nascent program in the EU alongside the EU Program Lead
You must be passionate about managing and developing people, highly analytical, resourceful and customer focused. You need to have a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced and dynamic business environments while managing the sometimes conflicting needs of different groups of stakeholders. You will be expected to develop and deliver new go-to-market plans, quickly build trust with external partners and internal stakeholders, and excel at developing and coaching a team. You will have:

  • Strong people management experience with multi-level teams
  • Experience in developing go-to-market strategies for new products / services
  • Experience in auditing the customer experience and competitive landscape to shape new products and services
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams in product management, technology, tax, legal and HR to deliver complex, multi country projects
  • Comfort with leading deep dives into performance metrics and shaping initiatives to improve operational processes
  • Strong interest in understand the latest developments across WW Amazon Marketplace Services to be at the forefront of driving Selling Partner usage

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

  • Fluency in English and German
  • Bachelor’s Degree. Post-graduate education is recommended.
  • Extensive experience in sales management, product management or management consulting
  • Experience of managing and developing a high performance team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts simply
  • Ability to think strategically and to drive the detailed execution of specific initiatives
  • Highly organised and results oriented
  • Experience solving analytical problems, either in professional experience (data analysis) or education
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • 20% Travel Required
