For our client, a global company that provides a portfolio of IT services, software, and technology with a major project in the financial sector, we are currently looking for a System Integration Engineer on a permanent basis.

Background:
This role is part of the Operational Acceptance Team. The System Integration Engineer will contribute to the deployment of IT solutions in production by advising on the production impact of planned changes, assisting other team members in Data Centre Operations during the roll- out and post implementation.
- Addresses all questions regarding the installation, configuration and customization within the areas of domain expertise
- Working on ongoing projects and achieving application integration tasks to enable new and rectified functionality based on Business Requirements (business analysis)
- Participating in IT projects throughout the complete lifecycle for the development of IT application services and the change management lifecycle
- Supporting end-users during acceptance tests and operational teams during migration to the production environment
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving bugs and incidents in the post-go live support of operations
- Deployment, configuration and support of development, test, pre-production and productions system environments
- Evaluating and executing changes and service requests according to provided operating procedures while maintaining agreed service levels and deadlines
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical, configuration management, inventory troubleshooting documents
- Assisting in the development of standards for deployed system hardware, OS and software components
- Planning, preparation and documentation of maintenance activities
- Supporting design and preparation of recovery and contingency exercises to ensure system recovery in accordance with the predefined plans and documentation
- Deployment of IT solutions in production by advising on the production impact of planned changes, assisting other team members in Data Centre Operations during the roll out and post implementation
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve problems using available tools and referring to external suppliers if required
- Applies CMMi (Capability Maturity Model integration) compliant best practices and promotes continuous process improvement
- A minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Active Directory (2008 R2/2012), DNS, Group Policy, DHCP
- Windows Server 2016 installation, administration and troubleshooting experience
- SCCM V6.5, VMWare, Exchange 2016
- Good understanding of ITIL processes, particularly change, incident and problem management
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong documentation skills, creation and maintenance of support documentation
- Experience in working in mixed operating system and database environment (Windows, Citrix, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Linux)
- Excellent communication skills and excellent customer interfacing skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
