Scientist or PhD researcher

Your tasks:

• Working with hyper-/multispectral data to derive biophysical plant parameters and to extract spectral soil profiles
• Field work and literature review to gather and determine plant traits for model parametrization
• Collaboration with the Julius Kühn-Institute to provide earth observation data for crop yield modeling
• Writing and publishing scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals
• Presenting results at national and international conferences

Your profile:

• Master degree in a project-related field (e.g. geography, ecology, environmental sciences, physics, biology)
• Experience in remote sensing data analysis (preferably imaging spectroscopy and modelling applications)
• Interest in field work
• Good programming and statistical skills (preferably R or Python)
• Very good English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
