YOUR TEAM
We're building the central ADAS compute platform for automated driving and parking systems and any safety technology. Developing our solutions for the biggest vehicle fleet on the market, we're making mobility safer and creating a new level of driving comfort.We are working as a team defining and establishing a reliable, robust and safe system and software architecture using newest technologies in hardware, software and tools. We collaborate with different stakeholders within Cariad and all VW brands while roling out the next generation software framework and ecosystems and enabling autonomous driving (Level 3&4).
You will become a part of our international and highly motivated team in the area of autonomous driving platform & services. We shape the future in automotive together with you.

WHAT YOU DO
- Translation feature requirements for highly Automated Driving and Driver Assistance Systems into system and software specifications
- Define the architectural representation of ADAS Level 3 and 4 ADAS functions in our future computing platform to meet performance, safety and security objectives and enable OTA update over life time
- Analysis of existing and future capabilities of high-performance SOCs for best-in-class ADAS systems for both compute platform and sensor technologies
- Collaboration with many stakeholders: internal function developers, external partners, in-vehicle and backend experts
- Control of architectural decisions in the project from the early concept phase to the final release of series production
WHO YOU ARE
- Academic degree in computer science, electrical engineering or in a related field or a comparable qualification
- Several years of in-depth experience in software and/or system architecture within embedded systems and powerful SOC solutions for ADAS applications
- Expertise in ADAS sensor technologies (cameras, radars, lidar) is an advantage
- Knowledge of functional safety according to ISO 26262 and safety according to ISO 21434
- Strong analytical skills, team orientation and self-organized way of working
- Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
