At the chair „Social and Economic Cognition I“ (Prof. Dr. Anne Gast) we investigate cognitive processes, esp. learning & memory, that underlie social/economic phenomena. We are part of the Depart- ment Psychology, SoCCCo, C-SEB, and ECONtribute.
YOUR TASKS
» development, implementation and analysis of experimental studies
» communication of scientific results at conferences and in scientific papers
» development and teaching of classes (a weekly 90-min class per semester (approx. 14 sessions)
» scientific qualification (doctorate) » supervision of thesis students and student assistants » small research-related organisational tasks (i.e., with regard to
research meetings)
YOUR PROFILE
» an above-average degree at master‘s level in psychology (to be finished before start date)
» interest in research conducted at the chair » good knowledge of quantitative research methods (experi-
mental design, statistics) » good knowledge of statistical software » very good knowledge of English » enthusiasm for research and teaching » independent, structured and reliable way of working » flexibility and commitment » friendliness, open-mindedness, and ability to work in a team » ideally: good knowledge of German » ideally: experience with experimental software or experimen-
tal programming (e.g., OpenSesame, Lab.js, EPrime)

The position is available from 01.10.2022 on a part-time basis with 19,92 working hours. The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 30.09.2026. If the necessary prerequisites required by tariff regula- tions as well as the sought-after personal qualifications are met, the salary will correspond to the pay grade 13 as specified in the States‘ Tariff Agreement (TV-L).
