This role will have responsibility for the Strategic Sourcing Office on a global level. Strong understanding of process and strategies, hands on mentality and forward-thinking with good knowledge in procurement and also technical background are welcome.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Definition of the global sourcing strategy for all brands & regions inside the LIXIL fittings division
- Provide product & process innovation to Marketing, R&D and Manufacturing by enhanced market intelligence capabilities
- Define the supply base for our future new product programs
- Enhance collaboration between project & series procurement considering 3 types of commodities
- Process tech commodities
- Assemblies
- System tech commodities
- Accompany large global tenders, negotiations and supplier awarding
- Support with your team series procurement after SOP to improve quality, delivery and cost
- Ensure senior escalation during supply bottlenecks
- Process ownership for the annual supplier evaluation
Your Profile:
- Advanced degree (MBA) in the area of mechanical engineering, business engineering or comparable
- Proven and relevant business experience in a globally manufacturing industry, having worked with global suppliers (particularly within Asia)
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, strategies and business plan on KPIs level
- Ability to drive operational change as well as strategy execution
- Results-oriented with a strong commitment to culture
- Strong analytical skills and timely decision-making ability
- Ability to communicate effectively in a distributed organization, therefore very good knowledge of the German and English language is necessary
- Leadership skills – team building, collaborating, presentation skills, strategic and innovative thinker, self-starter with a high energy level
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong work ethic and a “roll-up-your sleeves” mentality
