Application Engineer Technical Marketing Automotive Power Semiconductor / E
Mitsubishi Electric is a world-leading manufacturer of power semiconductor devices. For the technical marketing team Automotive Power Semiconductors in the Mitsubishi Electric European headquarters we are looking for a competent and experienced power electronics engineer to expand our business in applications like xEV power train, xEV accessories and onboard battery chargers.
Your tasks:
- Engineering support to customers during the design-in process of automotive power semiconductors
- Monitoring the technology trends in Europe’s power semiconductors market for automotive applications, including competition analyses
- Exploring new market opportunities for existing and new automotive customers
- Defining product development requests (PDRs) to optimize Mitsubishi Electric’s product line-up and to prepare next-generation automotive power semiconductors
- After-sales engineering support to automotive customers using Mitsubishi Electric’s power semiconductors
- Coordinating the qualification of Mitsubishi Electric’s power semiconductors according to European automotive standards
- Coordinating sales promotion activities, e.g. campaigns
- Preparation of sales tools, e.g. technical marketing presentations
- Preparation of publications, conference papers
- Handling of quality issues (PCN, RMA, audits, etc.) and compliance checks (export control, ISO, etc.)
- Product / technical trainings, e.g. for customers and sales channels
Your background:
- Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering and at least five years work experience in power electronics. Expertise in e-mobility applications is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical power conversion and inverter systems (Motor Control, automotive xEV power train, xEV accessories, onboard battery chargers) covering power ranges of a few kilowatts to hundreds of kilowatts
- Knowledge of IGBT / SiC power devices performance and qualification requirements
- Self-driven and proactive approach to customer - oriented business development with strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead and drive projects with organized teamwork and a systematic approach
- Demonstrable time management skills to accomplish long-term assignments
- Excellent communication and technical presentation skills in German and English and willingness to travel within Germany and Europe frequently
