IT Network Expert (f/m/d)

For our client, a well-known European bank, located in Frankfurt/Main (Germany), we are currently looking for two experienced it network experts (f/m/d), of which one will be in the Platform Services area and the other in the Delivery Services area.

Your key tasks:

As an IT Network Expert in the Platform Services Section:

• You design and develop new technical solutions and act as a central contact for projects and business areas
• You manage service improvements and escalations
• You improve the existing infrastructure landscape according to new technological developments and guidelines
• You ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the data centers and associated infrastructure within the building, ensure physical security and compliance, and supervise data center-related construction projects

• You present the results of your work within your area of responsibility and discuss them with your peers at various management levels

 

As an IT Network Expert in the Delivery Services Section:

• You manage and improve network service delivery, including monitoring provider performance via agreed key performance indicators, and report on a regular basis to team leads and service coordinators
• You manage escalations internally and towards the managed service providers
• You evaluate services provided by comparing received reports with the actual state of network components, log files, and detailed technical planning documents
• You present the results of your work within your area of responsibility and discuss them with your peers at various management levels

 

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in computer science, business administration or a bachelor’s degree with minimum 4 years relevant work experience or vocational training plus 8 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field of data centre network technology with an installation base of more than 1000 users
• Engineering experience in multi-vendor environments, experience in tuning network monitoring and operating network equipment for OSI layers 1 to 4
• A track record in operating and engineering mission-critical IT infrastructure environments, e.g. in the financial services, IT hosting or defence industries
• Experience in the coordination, controlling and management of external service providers
• Advanced English language skills written and spoken and an intermediate command of at least one other official language of the EU
