We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.

You will be working as a Business Communication Specialist for our Smart Buildings Division in ABB’s Electrification Business Area. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Development and will be working closely with the Division Leadership Team for creating compelling content. The Communications Specialist will be writing and building communications for a variety of channels for reaching key audiences and delivering against defined communications objectives. You will also be a strong writer and storyteller, with sound understanding of Business and must be able to use proficiently a wide variety of communication formats and tools.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing communications programs and messages following briefings from Division Leadership Team, including internal and external presentations, social media posts, newsletters, articles and web content.
• Directing content for educating and informing key stakeholders including customers, management, employees, trade media and interest groups.
• Ensuring executional excellence throughout the area of responsibility for all communications measures in line with brand positioning, corporate identity/design guidelines and global strategy.
• Actively recommending and contributing towards cross-division communications projects.
• Advising on communications programs and supply channels for maximizing cost efficiency and minimizing overlap among businesses.
• Implementing agreed communications plan applying all effective media and supervising or managing production and supplier relations.
• Supporting key management with personal communications materials including presentations, speeches, articles, and employee recognition.
• Managing contribution to key events such as trade exhibitions along with developing and organizing customer seminars and employee meetings.
• Supporting the collection and analysis of key data needed for the preparation of key documentation.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication / Business.
• 5+ years of experience in business communication, strategy consulting, marketing, business journalism, or related area.
• Experience in B2B communication and strategy consulting is a must.
• Must be a Native-level English speaker.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with ability to produce clear & concise presentations and reports.
• Proficiency with power point, word, social media platforms.
• Performance-driven and comfortable with working in a dynamic global environment to tight deadlines.
