My client is a leading global consumer brand who have over 14 years of proven success under their belts. They are an innovative, agile business who manage to develop over 20 new products every year which are sold in major marketplaces across EMEA countries
The Opportunity:
As the Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of the business. Reporting directly to the Channel Marketing Manager, you will focus on the DACH Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and develop appropriate brand strategies for successfully marketing the product ranges. This will require planning, coordinating, and executing all the elements of the strategies and defining the business value chain. You will be responsible for building brand awareness & equity as well as driving sell-out activities of the products.The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have proven (international) branding and marketing experience, you will be highly competent in budgeting, time management, expenditures, profit-loss projections, and ROI (return-on-investment). You will be a top performing self starter with the ability to effectively multitask.Other candidate requirements include the following:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing
- At least 5 years professional experience in brand and marketing management, including classic marketing and digital-era marketing.
- Proven experience in brand marketing role on brand-owner-side in DACH region.
- Know how to work within a multi-cultural environment surrounding different time zones.
- Professional and proactive work ethic and hands on personality.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management. Examples of Agency ownership.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent English language skills required.
Role Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of comprehensive brand and marketing strategies in DACH region, your strategies will be crafted based on the business activities within the region and global marketing plans.- You will be the key gatekeeper in region and be responsible for defining the right brand position and proposition.
- You will plan and execute consumer-oriented campaigns, including localised big ideas from HQ, craft local relevant insights and ideas, organise resources esp. the media planning/buying/tracking, BTL social/CRM with consumer.
- You will organise and lead the launch of key new products under IMC (integrated marketing communication) approach with alignment with GTM (go-to-market), channel marketing and sales functions.
- You will master in regional media ecosystem, knowing the media trend, buying approach, newest technology, returns, and lead team to make brand/product reach our target audiences in the most effective way.
- You will provide daily brand guidance to channel marketing, to ensure right and relevant brand expression in region.
- You will produce ideas with channel marketing for promotional events or activities to support sales functions and organise them efficiently.
- You will understand, develop and implement new way-of-marketing with HQ in the digital world, including social media network, PGC/UGC content generation, live stream shopping, etc.
- You will participate into “P&L” planning, esp. control the brand marketing budgets and allocate resources amongst projects. Keep close connection with Finance community and HQ on budget planning, tracking and reporting.
- You will set up right targets/KPIs for brand health in region and monitor all kinds of brand progress and submit performance reports.
- You will participate and organise company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
- You will conduct necessary market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements.
- You will own the organisation's relationship with external agencies such as media, PR, creative, stakeholders and potential clients.
