Interior Architect/Architect/Designer for Office Design
The Real Estate and Services department is responsible for providing the infrastructure for a modern working environment that meets the requirements of our Munich Re employees and the associated services.
We are looking for you to join our highly motivated workplace solutions team to develop design standards for the workplace environment. Our team works globally and we are looking to establish best practices across the network of sites to create attractive, sustainable and functional workplaces in line with our corporate identity. Your role will be to support the creation of a corporate design standard for offices that is sufficiently flexible and practical to be applied throughout the entire International Organisation. Your diverse tasks will be on design-related topics, the management and implementation of spatial concepts and strategic space layout planning. The close networking and mutual support with neighbouring departments and units (from IT, Purchasing, Communications, Occupational Health and Safety, the Works Council and others) offer you a wide range of activities and innovative projects.
Your job
- Developing an approach to the global-local interface with regard to cultural, legal and functional standards
- Creating specifications for the design and furnishing of office spaces
- Participating in the development of worldwide standards for workplaces in the company
- Establishing a best practice of internal and external references
- Offering consultation and workshops for the application of the developed specifications in projects
- Developing and continuously modifying the furnishing module catalogue
- Coordinating and cooperating with all stakeholders involved in workplace design (e.g. user representatives, occupational safety, works council, purchasing, IT)
- Preparation and presentation of decision documents
- Planning office space and space allocation in dialogue with users
- Cooperating with and managing subcontractors
- Supporting and implementing change management measures
- Independently executing (project management) implementation projects (office concepts and design)
- Degree in architecture/interior architecture/design or comparable degree with at least three years of professional experience
- Experience with the development of design standards and corporate architecture
- Competence in planning and furnishing office space
- Knowledge of relevant specifications and guidelines
- Distinct spatial imagination as well as pleasure in designing
- Excellent German and English language skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office and CAD software (layout planning)
- Ability to work in a team, a solution-oriented approach and a high degree of initiative
- Experience in project management desired
