Announcer Offer Special Olympics

BE THE VOICE OF THE GAMES
The Special Olympics World Games 2023 and the National Games 2022 in Berlin will be overflowing with entertainment in a celebration of local and global sports culture. We’re looking for active members to be the faces and voices of the Games. We are on the hunt for Masters of Ceremonies to interact with the crowd and work them into a frenzy as well as court announcers who understand the game and can accurately translate official calls for the fans, players, officials and media in our venues. Expressions of interest are welcome from confident and professional team players with various levels of experience and a willingness to learn.

• Speak fluent German and English • Public speaking / live announcing experience essential • A well-spoken individual with a strong voice and clear and concise pronunciation • Excellent research skills • Excellent team working skills • Excellent organisational skills • Attention to detail • Ability to read and follow scripts, however can also perform off-script if required

under any circumstance, under the direction of the Sport Presentation Manager • Ability to remain calm under pressure • Ability to follow clear instructions effectively • Proactive and positive ‘can-do’ approach

The Announcer is the main contact the spectators have with each sport, they will educate, instruct and excite the audience. They will work closely with the Sport Presentation Manager to deliver generic Games wide announcements, sport specific announcements, athlete introductions, medal ceremonies announcements and live to the in-venue spectators.
