Your responsibilities

  • Lead and develop global CMSO Process, Business Technology and Performance Team (direct and functionally)
  • Maintains a functional long-term view and owns respective targets/ goals for Process, Technology and Performance, and oversees their execution throughout PDCA cycles
  • Orchestrates functional alignment within and beyond CSMO organization related to Olympus Process, Business Technology and Performance ambitions
  • Defines, establishes and orchestrates global governance instruments for Process, Technology and Performance and leads their continuous improvement
  • Lead strategic overarching initiatives (Process, Technology, Performance) within the CMSO organization to enhance operation and build strong business partnership
  • Hold ownership of Operations performance management system and KPI within CMSO and collaborates with stakeholder, e.g., Finance and relevant business partner
  • Oversees/ manages CMSO budget operations in alignment with CMSO leadership/ PMO
  • Fosters a continuous innovation practice within the CMSO organization, oversees market scans, and orchestrates cross-functional alignment within / beyond the CMSO organization (e.g., R&D, QA/RA, IT, business divisions and corporate functions)
  • Collaborates with PMO, strategy & risk, and excellence and performance teams and acts as senior advisor towards CMSO functions
  • Acts as an executive-level advisor towards Operations Leadership team, with a strong ability to communicate and present improvements and risks on different stakeholder groups

Your qualification

  • You have successfully completed a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education and/ or training
  • You are an experienced project manager with demonstrated strong track record in delivering international and cross-functional projects e.g. from PM role or consultancy (Certification is a plus)
  • You can provide a generalist background and understand specifics and key elements from various central functions (e.g. Sales, IT, Finance) and operations
  • You have foundational knowledge in business administration, invest and budget planning required
  • You have basic knowledge in functional operating model (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement)
  • You are able to work in a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders across all organizational hierarchies
  • You feel comfortable and able to maneuver between different interests and to achieve consensus between parties
  • You are able to deal with ambiguity and is results-driven and non-bureaucratic and can coach others and drive execution
  • You are confident in presenting to various audiences, business fluent English prerequisite (second language, e.g. Japanese or German desirable)
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and productive relationships
  • You are self-motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel domestic and international (occasionally)
