This position can be based either at our premises in Plovdiv, Bulgaria or at our Head Office in Darmstadt, Germany. It is a permanent full time position and with an immediate start date.

About the Position

The position is to develop software in Java for our clients in the space and aviation domain. These are solutions that we are really proud of. We want you to be equally proud.

There will be different projects to build software for the monitoring and control of satellites, simulation and training systems, as well as Air Traffic Control Systems for Aviation. We do not expect you to know these systems already; we will train and mentor you. We do expect you to bring the right demeanor (you just looked that word up to understand what it meant? That is the right attitude).

Depending on the project your tasks may be the development of backend systems using Java stack technologies and/or front end systems (Eclipse RCP and WebUI).

You will work in teams with experienced software engineers and domain specialists with tasks ranging from design and development, over integration and testing, to onsite deployment.

Qualifications / Experience

• University degree in software engineering or similar.
• Motivated and driven, flexible and open
• Object-oriented design
• Java SE
• Software version control using Git
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken)

Desirable Skills

• Any higher-level Java-based framework such as e.g. Java EE, Spring, OSGi (Apache ServiceMix, Karaf, CXF, ActiveMQ, Camel), Eclipse RCP/RAP
• Software development for the Linux platform
• XML/XSD
• Space and/or Aviation domain knowledge
