GENERAL PURPOSE:
This is a highly visible position requiring direct interaction with stakeholders, clients and internal leadership. The Regional Security Manager position is responsible for all aspects of security within the assigned geographical region, including technology infrastructure, facilities, and personnel. Specifically, the position will manage the regional delivery of strategic Security initiatives and program execution, to identify, protect, detect, and respond to Security threats. The Regional Security Manager will provide collaborative subject matter expertise to business units, support groups, and clients. The position is responsible for ensuring that Security works in partnership with stakeholders to recover from incidents and securely enable business growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.- Works in partnership with Operations and Sales on client security matters, such as: participation in pre-sales visits, subject matter expertise in responses to RFI/RFP and audits, review of client contracts and security questionnaires, managing risk assessments, and advocating appropriate security measures aligned to industry best practice and in compliance with contractual obligations.
- Provides reporting and metrics to Security and IT Compliance leadership, which accurately reflects and articulates the Security posture of the region.
- Delivers leading insight to enable IT peers to secure regional infrastructure in line with industry best practice, compliance requirements, and client expectations.
- Coordinates and engages with Regional Legal Counsel and Data Privacy Officers to provide support for data privacy objectives and compliance.
- Supervises assigned personnel where appropriate, in the conduct of security analysis, engineering, project management, and daily activities.
- Manages regional relationships with third-party security and technology vendors.
- Serves as the Incident Response Team Leader for their geographic area of responsibility and engages as a regional advocate in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Program initiatives.
- Provides guidance and advice in partnership with business units and stakeholders on security best practices, internal security policy, and contractual requirements.
- Primary point of contact between the Security organization and regional Financial Services, Legal Support, and Technology groups in support of business objectives.
- Manages security vendors and peer-group relationships where appropriate. Interacts with Legal and Procurement to coordinate contractual obligations relating to outsourced Security services.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Yes - Responsible for the day-to-day management of Security Analysts and liaisons where assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
CISSP required or attained within 12 months.BS/BA in Information Technology or Security-related discipline desired.
ICSA and/or GAIC certifications desired.
Five years of experience as a security professional desired.
Five years-plus experience in a management role or two years in a pre-sales or other client facing position desired.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Knowledge and experience of industry security standards and methodologies (NIST, ISO, PCI).
- Understanding of data security technologies, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
- International travel up to 20% of the time is required.
- 24x7 on-call availability is required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
