tmo) is the world leader in serving science, with revenues of more than $24 billion and approximately 70, 000 employees globally. our mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. we help our customers accelerate life sciences research, solve complex analytical challenges, improve patient diagnostics, deliver medicines to market and increase laboratory productivity. through our premier brands - thermo scientific, applied biosystems, invitrogen, fisher scientific and unity lab services - we offer an unmatched combination of innovative technologies, purchasing convenience and comprehensive services. the thermo fisher scientific hplc business has been setting decisive and innovative trends for many years in the development, manufacturing and marketing of instruments and software for high-performance liquid chromatography (hplc). the expertise of our highly qualified staff contributes significantly to our economic success, enabling us to continuously expand our site in germering near munich. for the support of our team we are looking for a manager, human resources (f/m/d) key responsibilities * operational management of hr at the germering site managing the local field hr team members, * collaboration with business hr partner in regards to implementing and executing programs and strategic initiatives for the betterment of the organization, * manage works council relations in close collaboration with managers and site management in application of the legal requirements. prepare works council agreements, drive and lead negotiations. ensure compliance with co-determination legal framework, * implement, maintain and execute local hr policies, instruments, procedures, in line with business, corporate and country guidelines and harmonization requirements. ensure involvement with relevant hr partners including all site support functions, * oversee and conduct employee/labor relations investigations at the site and provide recommendations for resolution. provide objective perspective to support manager and employee issues, * serve as main owner and contact person for internal as well as external audit bodies regarding personnel/hr-related topics (e. g. iso, supplier audits) at the site, * deliver site hr metrics/reports as well as defined kpis to business hr partner supporting our ppi business system. use ppi (practical process improvement) tools to continuously review and improve hr processes, * support and partner with our talent acquisition team in recruitment and hiring efforts within established guidelines and ensure professional onboarding experience, * consult managers at the site in identifying and developing talent and support in defining roles and responsibilities across the site to build a strong workforce, * participate in hr and cross-functional projects, * partner with our shared service center payroll ensuring flawless payroll execution, * supervise local apprentice program, * ensure and provide day-to-day operational hr support to the business and employees in an effective, cost efficient manner, * perform other related duties as assigned your background * bachelor/u0027s degree from university /accredited higher learning institution required (studies in hr, law or business related field) or equivalent through relevant experience and an excellent updated knowledge * minimum 8+ years of experience as a human resources generalist with multi-national company;

experience in operatingin a matrixed environment a plus, * experience in leading and developing a team, * experience in employment law and works council negotiations, * fluency in german and english, * willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities with diplomacy, perseverance and determination;
