A Senior Data Engineer is required for a permanent position in Munich, Germany. The client is a German tech consultancy company who are looking to build, shape and expand their Data Engineering team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and scaling data products on public and private clouds. You will also be responsible for supporting cloud engineers and data scientists with data infrastructures.

A successful Data Engineer should have the following skills and expertise:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantitative social sciences, Engineering or related fields
• Strong experience working on public/private clouds such as; Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
• Working knowledge on; Python, Java or Scala
• Experience with frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Storm etc.
• Experience with data storage systems like HDFS, MongoDB, S3 etc.
• Experience with processing automation like Airflow, Luigi etc.
