wetzlar germany or cambridge uk leica microsystems currently have an opportunity for a senior it security specialist to join our team. this position can be based at our site in wetzlar germany or cambridge, united kingdom. reporting to the senior security & compliance it manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and management of security policies and procedures, working closely with the danaher security team to ensure the highest levels of security across the enterprise without compromising accessibility and performance for our users. the associate must maintain the existing systems and develop enhancements and improvements in all areas of security. the role demands flexibility of working, including occasional weekend support and global travel and requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and high workload. requirements:

  • * minimum 5 years proven experience in a related environment. demonstration of significant technical capability within the scope of role requirements * experience of working at a global level with dispersed teams * experience of working within a regulated environment e. g. fda * experience of defining and deploying sop's and standards * experience of 2 factor authentication providers * experience of working with windows and linux * excellent communication skills both written and spoken * experience of working within a global organisation * working knowledge of security systems, for example * websense * bit-9 * splunk * vulnerability management solutions * trend micro * crowdstrike * ips/ids * reliaquest * cloud security * firewall security education requirement:
  • bsc degree in computer science or management information systems degree level qualification. language:
  • english - fluent written and spoken essential for the role travel * the flexibility to travel globally if required. (possibly. 10%) success in this role requires:
