Release & Environment Lead - DevOps

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Release & Environment Lead - DevOps for a 6 month contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role:

This department is responsible for the development of server-side applications to support business functions. To further enhance delivery efficiency, we are seeking a talented release and environment lead with a proven experience in the management and coordination of software from development to production.

As a Release & Environment Lead - DevOps

you will be responsible for:

• Work with the development teams to improve the current integration and flow of development, testing and deployment of software.
• Review and where necessary create working implementations of the end-to-end delivery tool chain.
• Collaborate with the production support team for define the deployment tooling and process.
• Improve the overall levels of automation and CI across the technology stack
• Analyse, design and implement strategies for continuous deployments in the context of the agreed toolset
• Participate actively in collaborative team meetings and voice opinions
• Continuously improve the methods and tools used
• Help to define and coordinate training for the broader team on new tooling and processes

What we require from the candidate: 

• Extensive experience with eCommerce platforms, understanding of external and internal facing web architecture, security and deployment constraints.
• Strong experience with standard build and deployment tooling (TeamCity, Jenkins)
• Experience in setting up CI processes for standard technology stack (Java, HTML5, .Net)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps processes and tooling – Docker, Ansible
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux
• Strong experience with standard scripting tools – Powershell/Bash/Python
• Knowledge of SQL
• Code Analysis and Testing exposure
