For our client, a global semiconductor company we are looking for a IC Physical Design Engineer on a freelance basis (f/m/d)
Project start: 3.02.2020
Project duration: 3 months +
Location: Munich
Languages: English. German is not needed

Tasks:
  • Responsible for Physical Layout Design specifications for customer projects
  • Provide insights to colleagues around Layout Design topics
  • IC Layout of various products (RF, Power Management) in different technologies starting with floor planning with package routing compliance up to the full verification flow of sublevels.
  • Coordinate with the top layouter and Macro Owner alongside with the circuit designer to obtain the best results in layout.
  • Create and verify main layout designs (DLL, PLL).
  • Use sophisticated design tools and leading-edge CMOS technology to implement circuit schematics (custom and ASIC) and verify against technology design rules

Skills:
  • Work experience in IC physical design of at least 4 years is required, preferably on mixed-signal or power delivery circuits
  • Expert know how in analog/mixed-signal and RF/high-speed layout
  • Knowledge of CMOS technologies
  • Know-how of silicon technology and physical effects influencing the layout
  • Proficiency in device reliability and aging mechanisms
  • Fluent written and spoken in English
  • Capability of working in multi-disciplinary cultural teams
