YOUR TEAM
Within the department of “Vehicle Motion and Energy” we develop software for all powertrain, chassis, energy and charging functionality for our costumer in the Volkswagen group. We’re driven by the idea of a modern tech and software concentric mobility group, with space for cultural growth, innovation, and product orientation development. Therefore, we’re creating new innovating functionalities like data-driven development and Backend functions and we’re one of the relevant enabler of highly automated driving.Become part of this exciting environment in the “cross functional engineering” and, as "Head of Integration and Testing", make a significant contribution to the development of future software solutions and customer features on high integration platforms in the Volkswagen Group.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for the overall software integration of the software components for vehicle motion and energy on the high integration computer(s)
- Responsible for the test infrastructures (HILs) of the domain and for the testing of the software functions on these infrastructures
- Leading a growing team currently consisting of ~20 highly skilled professionals
- Recruiting, coaching, and developing employees on their individual career path
- Responsible for all relevant and necessary activities of the software integration and testing (planning, error management, release management, technical software integration, integration- and smoke-tests, data management, first operation of the software, analysis, documentation, virtualization of the ECU and of the testing, setup and operation of the HIL-racks, …)
- Responsible for the implementation of company processes (e.g. risk management) in the subdepartment
- Internally align needs and solutions with stakeholders, with our different solution trains and with our subdomains
WHO YOU ARE
- Successfully completed degree in software development or engineering, or a comparable course of study
- Several years of experience in a leadership position in a software integration and testing environment including recruiting/staffing of team members
- Experience in the field of in-house software and/or ECU development as well as openness to agile approaches
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills as well as openness for cross-departmental collaboration
- Fluent German and English language skills (both spoken and written)
