YOUR TEAM

The Mobile & In-Car Apps department is building apps running on the mobile device as well as apps running on the infotainment system. The feature team Local Command & Control enables innovative features on the mobile device for direct communication with the vehicle. Examples are: Remote Parking (Control parking and pullout maneuver from outside of the vehicle), Personalisation (Automatically login to the infotainment system when approaching the vehicle), Light control (Demonstrate and personalize the exterior light of the vehicle), Holoride (Adapt virtual reality content to the movements of the vehicle), Calendar (Show calendar data from the mobile phone in the vehicle), External Device Interface (Provides access to vehicle interfaces from a mobile device).

CarPlay+ provides vendor specific extensions of CarPlay that integrate vehicle functions. The functions are running on the mobile phone that is connected with the infotainment system over CarPlay, but are displayed in the infotainment system. Thereby, the customer can stay inside the CarPlay context, but is still able to control important vehicle functions. Moreover, more advanced functions are possible that combine the worlds of the mobile phone and the vehicle.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work in (agile) teams and support the development of the latest infotainment developments
  • Shape the software that provides additional functions inside CarPlay
  • Capture customer requirements and transform them into user stories and features to build up and maintain a product vision and roadmap
  • Be actively involved in each step of the solution definition, including the feature definition, the architecture and the design
  • Define and consolidate accurate project planning and reporting across your team including feature development, technical defect management and continuous improvement process
  • Oversee steering committees, project presentations, status updates, achieving necessary project decisions and contributing to the creation of business cases
  • Keep an eye on the market in order to create new features to keep the product up to date and on the edge of technology and analyze occurring issues along development chain

WHO YOU ARE

  • Academic degree in the field computer science, electrical engineering or an equivalent field
  • Several years of experience in product management or product ownership as well as in customer-facing roles working with software products in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in the usage of direct communication channels (Bluetooth Low Energy, WiFi, iAP2) from iOS is desired, also in CarPlay functions
  • Knowledge in vehicle communication (SomeIP, CAN, …) is desired
  • Experienced in methods, procedures and principles of software development within an agile environment & ideally within automotive context, in particular Scrum, SAFe and Automotive SPICE
  • European Driving license class B
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
