Location Jülich Role Overview Main function:You will be part of the Media Development team and take responsibility for the development and optimization of cell culture media. You will be responsible for the design, execution, analysis and recording of experiments. This includes also the identification and realization of advanced technologies driving competitive advantages in cell culture media development. You will be part of a small, flexible team and directly report to the Lab Manager Media Development. Deine Aufgaben Key responsibilities and work assignments:
- Development of experimental study designs in agreement with supervisor * Planning and performing experimental work including data analysis and communicating results to manager and/or project team in form of a report/presentation * Cultivation of mammalian cell lies (CHO and SP2/0) * Operation of small-scale cell cultivation devices, including setup, program scripting and processing and preparation of raw data * Ensure accurate and complete documentation of lab activities and write appropriate technical reports in compliance with Alvotech's quality system * Coordinating and organizing the availability of materials, solutions and reagents * Collection, preparation and distribution of samples, also in coordination with other departments (Analytics, QC) * Contact person as expert for certain processes and devices * Provide technical and scientific guidance and feedback to team members * Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment according to specific quality standards and in cooperation with external service providers * Successful planning and execution of equipment qualifications Dein Profil Your profile:
- Minimum qualification to Master level, PhD preferred, in a relevant scientific discipline (e. G. Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related) * At least 3 years of industry experience in upstream process development for mammalian cell cultures * Hands on experience with mammalian cell lines (CHO, SP2/0), stirred tank bioreactors (up to 10 L scale) and preferably experience with ambr®15 * Experience with applying Design of Experiment and relevant software (JMP, MODDE) * Good scientific rationale and understanding of cell culture media development, upstream process development and biosimilar production * Good presentation and writing skills - very good command of English, German beneficial Personal skills:
