Job Description 50 - 70m USD. That's the annual spend on the FDF product portfolio! As the Sourcing Manager FDF you will be responsible to provide end-to-end category and project management in the areas of Direct Procurement and FDF Category Spend. The role is accountable for implementing the regional Procurement FDF strategic goals and successfully managing relevant KPI's in regards to efficiency, compliance metrics, processes and customer happiness. The role owner is responsible to implement Procurement projects to realized key productivity targets. This through alignment of business requirements, operational excellence, strategic sourcing and negotiation expertise, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity and mitigation of risk. The Sourcing Manager will be also accountable for successfully managing and developing relationships with partners from divisions, External Supply Operations ESO as well other functions (SCM, Quality, MS&T), and with key suppliers to increase value for Novartis

Your Responsibilities

your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• provide day-to-day procurement services:

prepare, conduct and conclude negotiations. select sources of supply;
own the commercial and contractual negotiation securing the efficient contractual agreement for the organization. - accountable for and carefully monitor and support sourcing execution and negotiation performed by the buyer. - maintain strong information flows back to global category team for opportunities to aggregate demand and generate additional use. - ensure operational procurement requests are executed in line with category strategies, and in compliance with relevant policies and operating procedures, including preferred supplier agreements. - involvement in increased portfolio by internal development and external bd&l deals to secure efficiency. - focusing on value added & innovative medicines for sandoz including search and evaluation of new suppliers, due diligences, business case preparation for new launches and/or transfer projects. - definition when no category strategy in place above strategic threshold (incl. negotiation strategy), approval, communication. accountable to work with partners to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives. - plays a meaningful role in ensuring alignment between category activity and requirements. high financial impact in terms of savings generation. minimum requirements what you'll bring to the role:

• university/advanced degree is required. master's degree in fields such as business administration, finance, law or a scientific or technical field is preferred. - > 5 years of procurement experience and contracting experience in the area of fdf (cmo/bd&l) - extensive experience in sourcing processes (e. g. rfi/rfq), negotiation strategies, project management, good communication and collaboration skills as well as market analysis capabilities to drive operational excellence. - sound understanding of pharmaceutical/generics industry in manufacturing and materials - excellent spoken and written english, german is an advantage. you'll receive:
