Payroll Administrator (m-f-d)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Processing the organisations payroll in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for the publishing and enforcement of deadlines and cutoffs as required for the running of the payroll process
  • Accurately creating and maintaining employee payroll data and records by gathering calculating, inputting and safeguarding data as necessary
  • Maintaining the ticketing system which holds request and issues logged by employees
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws.
  • Highlighting opportunities to deliver improvements to process, procedures to ensure compliance at all times
  • Ensuring data is kept in accordance with Sox specified rules and where examples are required for Sox audits these are supplied as requested.
  • Responding to payroll related queries from employees, outsourced payroll provider and third party suppliers in a professional, timely and competent manner
  • Verifying data for payroll by checking carefully the information received
  • Maintaining filing of employee payroll data as required
  • Creating reports and distributing as and when required
  • Other ad-hoc jobs and actions which are applicable to the payroll function

Skills Required:

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in German and English
  • Great organisational skills as well as time management skills
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to work with sensitive matters professionally and confidentially
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • IT literacy: proficiency in the basic functions of MS Word and experience of using MS Excel at an intermediate level
  • Confident when dealing with various software packages, including payroll systems/HR systems/3rd party data systems
  • Good team working skills within own team as well as when cross functional working
  • 5-8 years’ experience in HR/payroll environment
  • A good understanding of local legislation affecting payroll
  • Possessing strong payroll skills to enable the full end to end processing of payroll including knowledge of making tax and social security calculations.
  • Experience of working with ADP/external payroll service provider preferred.
