Faculty of Electrical Engineering
at the
Wolfenbüttel Campus
, we are looking for the following to start as soon as possible

Research Assistants (m/f/d) in the IoT/IIoT Research Group

for a research project on private 5G industrial networks
initially limited to 30 months.

Field of Activity/Tasks:

• Cooperation in the international research project MERCI (Media and Event Production via Resilient Communication on IoT Infrastructure)
• Investigation and evaluation of the radio interface of the radio standard DECT 2020 NR
• Investigation and evaluation of different spectrum management concepts for private and industrial 5G networks from a technical and regulatory perspective
• Concept development for OSI layer 2 algorithms for automated coordination of neighbouring private industrial 5G networks, as well as their implementation and evaluation

Profile

• University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics with a Master's degree completed
• extensive knowledge of theory and practice of communication technology
• good communication skills in English, both oral and written
• high motivation and interest in communication technology
• desirable
• Knowledge of wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, BT, or cellular standards (e.g. LTE)
• Knowledge of spectrum management concepts, spectrum sharing approaches
• Experience with SW development in Python or C/C++
• Good communication skills in German, both oral and written

The following general notes apply

Your overall working hours are 39.80 hours per week (100%). This position is suite for part-time work. Remuneration is based on the German public pay grade TV-L 13.
