YOUR TEAM

Our department Product and Portfolio Management is responsible for managing all of CARIAD's products over their lifetime. The division “Subsidiary & Partner Steering” is responsible for CARIAD’s investment strategy and its assigned non-controlled subsidiaries. We act as entrepreneurs and business owners to secure state of the art customer functions, competitiveness and profitability.

As a newly founded team, we are looking for team members who have extensive knowledge in managing strategic partnerships in the automotive and software industry. Preferably, we are looking for team members in one of our German locations or San Jose (USA).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct interdisciplinary evaluation of new investment opportunities including business model analysis, competitor research, and due diligence for expansion of our investment portfolio
  • Develop and drive the overall acquisition strategy, define targets, manage the pipeline and run screening processes
  • Prepare and draft decision proposals for top management and stakeholders
  • Analyze and model M&A deals and work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify key risks and opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and methods for investment strategy development
  • Develop and monitor relevant KPIs (i.e. IP)

WHO YOU ARE

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of business administration, industrial engineering, STEM or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in M&A domain at Private Equity Fund, Corporate M&A, M&A Consulting with proven track record of successfully managing complex transactions/projects within the automotive field
  • Strong experience in the assessment of potential partnerships and different forms of acquisitions (minor/majority shares, full acquisition, venture stakes with equity options, joint ventures) as well as modelling of complex transactions
  • Profound legal knowledge of HGB, IFRS regulations, company evaluation methodologies, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and process management skills, with the ability yto handle multiple complex topics simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex topics concisely to a wide range of stakeholders, including board level - both to German and English native speakers
