Research Scientist (m/f/d): Future Drivers of Aviation
in the field of Social Sciences
Our challenges:
- Understanding social trends, technological-driven changes, ecological, economic and political developments with the expected impact on mobility and aviation
- Developing plausible but also disruptive futures of aviation by applying e.g., scenario and trend techniques
- Early detection of weak signals by applying scientific rigour
- Translating aviation futures into tangible changes and requirements for (aviation) stakeholders
- Raising awareness of these developments within the aviation community by disseminating and communicating our findings
- Exchanging and validating our view on aviation’s future by engaging and discussing with other futurists worldwide
- Support with your expertise our ongoing research in the area of hydrogen, transition studies or intermodal transport

We need you because:
- You are excited by our challenges and passionate to give scientific answers to the future of aviation and you have successfully completed your PhD
- You feel confident with analysing and addressing uncertain developments and you can derive implications based on your scientific findings
- You are a strong networker, both face-to-face and using the power of social media
- You have excellent analytical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills and you are willing to familiarise yourself with new topics and tools
- You are interested in multidisciplinary, target-oriented tasks within joint academic or industry projects
- You are proficient in German and English
