human resources at astrazeneca is a fast-paced, creative and purposeful environment where bold, innovative thinking is encouraged. we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we need top talent whose curiosity, learning-agility and strong values orientation results in the delivery of high quality, impactful outcomes that accelerate our people and business success. we have built a world class talent acquisition centre of excellence by being proactive with our recruitment approach and developing long-term pipelines of talent. we are passionate about delivering a truly differentiated candidate experience and are building in-house teams to deliver this for the business. as talent acquisition lead for germany, you will have responsibility for developing and implementing recruitment strategies in partnership with hr business partners, senior business leaders and hiring managers. working pro-actively and anticipating talent needs, you will also provide recruitment forecasting and develop and execute robust sourcing plans. collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations, you will identify and fill vacancies with top talent in a timely, cost-efficient manner. you will also actively lead executive recruitment activity - including pre-screening, interviewing, selecting, offer management and the hiring administration process. your focus:

as the single point of contact for hiring managers and hrbps, you will develop, own, implement and lead the recruitment strategy for germany. considered a recruitment expert, you will ensure both internal and external insights are captured and shared. building key relationships across the country and operating credibly at senior executive level, you will collaborate support and input into the strategic workforce plan and recruitment requirements. you will get involved with demand forecasts, proactive strategy setting and build a pool of elite talent to meet future anticipated business requirements while providing an outstanding candidate experience. as well as co-designing and implementing best-in-class activity, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in our employee referral program, recruitment advertising, communications, sourcing channels and early talent activity. you will continuously improve the effectiveness of the talent acquisition processes, recommend and implement program additions and enhancements to optimize results whilst also developing local dashboards and metrics. a proactive and curious approach is needed to find opportunities to drive innovation. your experience:

• significant experience within an in-house talent acquisition role, industry experience is preferred * competence and accountability in running full-cycle recruiting activities * creating and driving a recruitment strategy in an area or region * managing executive search partners and senior hires * social media and recruitment marketing * networking, gravitas and stakeholder relationship capabilities * highly customer focussed * project management * managing a global budget * understanding online and offline sourcing techniques and tools * excellent communication skills, proactive approach, ability to collaborate with managers at different levels of seniority * working with clients in r&d and/or shared services including finance, procurement & hr
