PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The department “Strategy and Operations” within SAPs Technology and Innovation board area deals with defining SAPs global technology strategy. It is directly linked to the CTO of SAP and gives guidance with regards to strategic questions, for example the product strategy.

The vision of Technology and Innovation is the creation of the Business Technology Platform, a technology platform that is the foundation to all SAP applications developed internally, but also extensions by partners and customers. It consists of the 4 pillars SAP Cloud Platform, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics, and SAP Leonardo Machine Learning.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Executing on our mission to build the number one technology platform for enterprises, we are looking for a talented and ambitious working student to help improving the end-to-end customer experience of the platform.

This includes everything from hands-on accessing the software to setting it up on premise/in the cloud, connecting it with existing SAP application, to testing deep technical functionalities and making suggestions for strategic improvements, to challenging its technical scope and market positioning.

The candidate (f/m/d) will have the unique opportunity to learn about the SAP cloud platform, big data management solutions, machine learning, and have the tremendous impact of influencing the delivery of software that is being used by millions of people around the globe firsthand.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
Studying preferably in a technical field, interdisciplinary course combining tech and business, or equivalent experience building/shipping technical products

Having the following skills: Combination of (1) deep technical knowledge including coding, (2) understanding of UX, (3) understanding of business viability

Speaking English fluently, German as a plus
Besides that, you are a geek that wants to improve things with an eye for detail, you are ambitious but also a team player, persistent but diplomatic when dealing with people, and fun to work with
