Intern Business Intelligence

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to support the Business Intelligence sub-team of the Global Sales & Distribution team of Munich Re.
Global Sales & Distribution is responsible for the implementation of the global sales vision and supports the client teams in their daily work to generate additional value for clients. The Business Intelligence sub-team focuses on providing customer, market and competitor analysis for our Sales Community. Furthermore, the team serves as a link between Global Sales and Distribution and the strategy departments and assists in the implementation of cross-divisional strategy projects.

As part of Munich Re you will have the chance to gain insights into one of the world's leading insurance corporations and contribute to our team´s ambition to create the future of sales within Munich Re.

We are looking for a highly motivated intern starting in September 2022 for 6 month.
Your job

• Analysis of markets, competitors and customers for management and client teams
• Preparation of financial analyses as well as summary and visual preparation of the results
• Research in financial databases as well as compilation of industry and sector reports for business units and financial analysts
• Assessment of and commentary on capital market developments (e.g. interest rates, alternative capital)
• Support of current cross-divisional strategy projects
• Processing of ad-hoc requests from management as well as various project support

Your profile

• Outstanding analytical, methodical and conceptual skills together with working highly creative, solution-oriented and with the ability to “think outside the box” even under time pressure
• You are good at presenting information in an appealing and easily understandable way
• High affinity for financial markets, corporate finance and financial data
• Commitment, team spirit and an integrative personality
• You are fluent in Business English; German is a plus
• Full command of Microsoft Office tools
• Initial work experience through internships in the finance, consulting or industrial sector
