Subject: Unravelling the biological effects of ionic chemicals in human macrophages
Project start: 1st February 2020. Working time 65% (25,35 hours per week), limited to 3 years.Your tasks:
- Characterization of intracellular signaling pathways after chemical exposure in human macrophages in inflammation using global proteomics and phospho-proteomics
- Characterization of chemical – protein interactions to identify cellular targets and key events
- Identification of mechanisms that link molecular responses to chemicals and inflammatory processes
- Development of grouping strategies for chemicals based on omics data to improve hazard assessment
Your profile:
- Excellent Master’s degree (or near completion) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related fields
- Elevated knowledge in human primary immune cell culture, flow cytometry and ELISA
- Basic knowledge in mass spectrometry-based proteomics
- Basic knowledge and strong interest in statistics and bioinformatics
- Excellent English and communication skills
