Reporting to the Director of Energy Solutions, you will interact with our Facility Management, Site Operations, Business Development and Finance teams. You will also interact with our ESPC Prime Contractor and Client Stakeholders, to deliver the engineering planning decisions for approval and feedback. You will be responsible for creating and supporting the deployment of cost-effective energy management initiatives to drive environmental improvement, energy reduction and operational excellence across the client's portfolio of buildings.

Skills Knowledge and Abilites:
- Education: ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree or seven (7) to nine (9) years of experience with a Master degree.

- Site surveys to diagnose malfunctioning equipment.
- Evaluating energy efficiency by reviewing existing architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans for the potential installation of energy efficient systems like climate control systems, daylighting design, etc., and preparing technical reports for implementation of improved energy efficient designs.
- Performing building energy audits to determine high energy consuming sources; evaluating the results in terms of energy usage, conservation measure, cost effectiveness, etc., using mathematical and computer models for better implementation of energy management projects.
- Conducting on-site and field observations, collecting energy efficiency data, and analyzing the process of energy efficiency used.
- Search and present energy conservation projects comprising capital and operational measures.
- Develop project implementation cost estimates.
- Prepare energy related technical reports and presentations.
- Managing the construction, designing, and development of energy management projects as per the guidelines per the federal department and the budget requirement, performing energy modeling, verification, and commissioning as per requirements.
- Coordinating with the project management team for overall analysis of energy management system installation
- Inspect or monitor energy management systems, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and associated automated controllers to determine energy use or potential energy savings.
- Analyze, interpret, or create graphical representations of energy data, using engineering software.
- Monitor and analyze energy consumption to verify performance and energy savings for system modifications and improvements.
- Coordinating with local utilities, energy service providers and government agencies to understand incentives programs and specific funding vehicles.
- Professional certification or accreditation is desirable such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Business Energy Professional (CBEP), Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP), Professional Engineer (PE) or LEED Accredited Professional (AP).
- Familiarity with multiple building automation system platforms.
- Experience working with facility and energy engineering projects.
- Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Familiar with proportional, integral and derivative (PID) loop analysis and tuning.
- In-depth knowledge of direct digital controls, instrumentation and energy management systems. Strong skills associated with control strategies and automation logic and diagnosing and troubleshooting errors.
- Commissioning, retro-commissioning, and fault detection experience.
- Proficiency in operating and navigating Human Man Interfaces (HMI) and Graphics User Interfaces (GUI) for building systems.
- Aptitude in reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting of object-oriented software or similar programming language software associated with direct digital controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Competency in electrical and electronic controls associated with building systems such as lighting control systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), starters, etc.
- Comprehension of basic sequences of operation associate with HVAC systems, both major systems and terminal units.
- Experience with standard sequences of operation for variable air volume controls, chilled beams, fan coil units (FCUs), direct expansion (DX) units, dedicated outside air systems (DOAS) and other common HVAC systems. Hydronic systems control strategies such as perimeter heating systems, steam heating systems, and secondary water systems with associated heat exchangers.
- Refrigeration machine operation, cooling tower operation and condenser water controls.
- Basic understanding of information technology (IT) networked systems as applied towards BMS or SCADA.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Licensed Architect or relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with Substation design, HV/MV distribution systems.
- Understanding of international code requirements.
- Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods for equipment and facilities.
