The Position

We are looking for software Test engineers with ATM/ATC or safety relevant and meaningful background to support on testing Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. These systems are designed, developed, deployed and maintained by our customer, Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), the German Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), aligning with the highest quality standards. The positions are based on the customer headquarters, in Langen (Frankfurt am Main). You will be collaborating in a diverse team which comprises developers, testers and integrators, taking part in the full software development.

The position is full-time, permanent and remote-working is allowed!
The expected starting date will be September 2020.

Responsibilities/Duties

You should be able to take ownership for your work and be self-reliant. You will participate and contribute in a creative manner! The main activities to be developed are:

  • Creation of test procedures for SW changes.
  • Review of SW requirements
  • Test execution and test organisation of the required tests (formal, informal)
  • Test reports documentation
  • Estimation of the test effort regarding to SW changes

Qualifications/Experience

  • A university degree in aerospace, informatics, mathematics or physics (or equivalent)

Essential Skills

  • Proved experience in testing GUI based applications
  • Requirements management with IBM Rational DOORS
  • Knowledge of MF ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
  • Use of Issue Tracking Systems (such as Jira or IBM Rational Change)
  • Good command of English language (oral and written)
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel)

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Air Traffic Control Systems
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Quality awareness and analytical competence
  • Experience with client support
  • German language would be useful in this role
