Job Description Position Summary We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Intern for our Procurement department, who will experience the global purchasing activities of Samsung electronics, how new technology components are discovered, evaluated and adopted into the products of world leading company. Knowledge and skills such as supplier evaluation, effective reporting, negotiations, SCM, logistics, accounting and other business insights can be gained from this position

schwalbach/taunus bei frankfurt am main role and responsibilities * create new businesses through self-initiated research and analysis;

• investigate the market and analyze competitor products to source components which have competitive edge in performance, quality, cost and supply chain;
• daily liaise with hq (purchasing and product development r&d team) to fully correspond to internal customer's needs and create potential businesses;
• manage component category of existing suppliers, ensuring that they meet samsung's roadmap and requirements;
• lead communication channel between hq and european suppliers;
• support hq visits to europe - meeting arrangement, technical discussions and negotiations;
• evaluate company's core competency, incubate and monitor for future application. skills and qualifications * tech savvy, up to date with latest mobile and consumer products and trends, extensive knowledge of the industry with personal interest in the latest innovations and desire to have future career in the tech sector;
• naturally outgoing extrovert character with strong social, communication and presentational skills with client centric mind-set;
• must have excellent business fluency (speaking, writing, reading) in english + european (german/french/italian/spanish) language or korean will be an advantage;
• grandaunt/ graduate of university, preferably from a technical background such as engineering/science major;
• i t literate, proficient in ms office for report, presentation, datasheet creation;
