Your tasks:

In the field of Fuel Systems Technology, the aspects of conventional and futuristic energy fuels (biogenic fuels, E-fuels, etc.) in relation to extraction, availability, economic feasibility, acceptability and ecological relevance are to be represented in teaching and research. An equivalent Bachelor degree program Energy with focus on Fuel Systems Technology is currently being established.

In teaching besides Fuel Systems Technology - with focus on combustion behavior, not synthesis – the subject Fuel Cells as well as other subjects of energy management need to be represented and an energy management training established.

Furthermore, you promote innovative and interdisciplinary study and communication formats for multidisciplinary teaching and for the dialog between science and society. This may include, in particular, interdisciplinary student projects and may involve, if possible, several departments.

You identify yourself with the university's support concept, which entails a high presence of the faculty members at the university and the willingness to take over the tasks of self-administration at the university. The language of instruction is usually German, but we expect all candidates to be qualified to conduct additional courses in English as well.

We are looking for scientifically renowned personalities who should be professional with teamwork skills. The distinguished scholars should be leading experts in their respective fields. The department expects the successful applicants to show a strong commitment to cutting-edge applied research as well as technology transfer initiatives In addition to the tasks in teaching and research a knowledge-based transfer into society is expected, which is self-explanatory given the social relevance of both these fields. This demands pertinent expertise, which ideally was gained in an industrial environment.
