be responsible for the terminals supporting the Senior Leader Command, Control, and Communications System - Airborne (SLC3S-A) provide executive airborne communications supporting world-wide command and control capabilities to US Government Senior Leaders

Candidate will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

Prefer candidates with a valid US passport.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:
Monitor, operate and maintain the Ku-Band, Ka-Band, X-Band or C-Band satellite terminal systems.
Respond to system alarms, user panic notification, and user request for support as required in support of the satellite terminal systems.
Conduct Satellite Terminal Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI). The PMIs will be logged and stored in a secure area. The PMI information will be made available to help with troubleshooting and/or other activities outlined in this PWS.

Monitor the day-to-day operation and institute corrective actions in response to noted

SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:

nowledge with tactical and commercial communication equipment.

nowledge of strategic SATCOM terminals; C, Ku, X, and Ka bands.

nowledge of test equipment of their operation.

nowledge of strategic UHF systems.
M
inimum of two (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of communications electronic systems or equipment.

M
inimum of two (2)
years experience
operating in a tactical environment operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems).

E
xperience and skill with commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures and commercial TDMA/DAMA modems required
G
ood communication and writing skills.
