Senior Software Engineer - Python, C, C or D

GBP0 - GBP75000 per annum
Senior Software Developer required by market leader in customer Data Science. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of product imports and product selection.

Daily Duties:

• You will be developing, maintaining, testing and deploying real-time, distributed applications that make up the internal recommendation engine.
• Involvement in prototyping and testing the performance of different algorithms for product recommendations.
• Investigating issues and answering questions about the live system originating from within the organisation.
• Monitoring application performance and working with sysadmins to ensure service availability

Required Skills:

• Experience in Python, C, C++ or D
• Experience in recommendation systems is a must
• Comfortable with the UNIX command line
• Experienced in a source code version control system (git preferred)

Desired Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science or related
• Automating tasks within a UNIX shell
