6 Month - Internship Smart Manufacturing / Industry

Your responsibilities:

For our European Research & Development activities we look for a full time student for 6 months with university degree in the field of Industrial Engineering with economics and/or engineering to support our standardization activities at the location in Langen, Germany

Standardization is essential in order to scale up business and deploy technology which is important in a fast changing environment. Following activities are considered for the internship:

• Monitor policy making and assess standardization activities towards deployment of technologies
• Support technology road mapping for business incubation
• Join selected standardization meetings and industry associations
• Support project work on dedicated digitization projects (e.g. 5G for industrial applications)
• Contribute to discussions with regional business units and corporate entities in Japan
• Participation of weekly meetings

The work will influence technology roadmaps for several businesses. The findings will be discussed with the regional business units but also with corporate headquarters in Japan in order to support business transformation.

What we are looking for:

The work will require good command of English and German (oral and written). Some knowledge of management techniques will be an added value to cope with the complex work environment. Technical understanding for process and factory automation are also essential to support Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 activities that are partly managed here in Europe but also in Japan at corporate headquarters.
