Postdoctoral position for a veterinarian (f/m/d)

We are an international translational research group with the focus on the development of novel oncolytic viral vectors for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. We have recently engineered a hybrid virus construct that has superior safety and tumor cell killing properties than the parental viruses. The group aims to utilize this virus as a platform for cancer immunotherapy and to translate it to clinical application for patients with a high medical need.

We are currently seeking a post-doctoral veterinarian to support our team in expanding our proof-of-concept to include additional rodent tumor models, as well as performing in vivo pharmacokinetic studies. This person should be highly motivated and able to work independently, but will be well supported by other veterinarians in the group, as well as an experienced and friendly team in the laboratory. We will provide project-specific training, but experience in basic laboratory animal handling and interventions is expected, as well as a knowledge of animal protection laws and in writing applications for animal research licenses.

The position is offered for a fixed-term of 2 years beginning as soon as possible.
