Job summary The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Presales Engineer to join us in our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partner team. This is a region-wide field role which should preferably be located in London or Farnborough, U. K., but it can potentially be based at any one of our offices in the region. You'll need to have significant experience with infrastructure and development tooling used to refactor, migrate, or develop applications to run on Linux-based OS, container, or cloud-native environments gained in either a technical presales, developer, or operations role with an ISV, system integrator (SI), or cloud provider. You'll need to have the ability to develop and nurture relationships with key technical influencers and decision makers within our ISV partners and to accelerate their adoption of Red Hat as the preferred platform on which to run and certify their applications. As a Senior Technical Presales Engineer, you will serve as the voice of our partners within Red Hat for the definition, prioritization, and development of tools, methodologies, best practices, and training programs. You'll collaborate closely with an extended team of technical presales, partner, and key account managers at both EMEA and country levels, so you'll need to be capable of understanding and balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders. Primary job responsibilities * Work in collaboration with the EMEA ISV partner managers to define and agree on our ISV partner strategy and implementation plans and priorities * Develop and nurture relationships with key technical influencers and decision makers from the technical presales, solutions delivery, and product management areas of new and existing ISVs * Analyze ISV offerings and identify and position offerings and services that will add business value;

this will require the delivery of high-level presentations, discovery workshops, demos, and solutions definition * Facilitate ISV evaluation of Red Hat's candidate offerings and solutions by engaging the appropriate associates within Red Hat and the certified cloud and service providers (CCSPs) to progress from a candidate solution to a technical win while retaining ultimate ownership of the overall engagement;

this will require definition and delivery of reference architectures, proofs of concepts, and solution validation * Support ISV partners to certify their applications for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat OpenShift * Jointly develop field-readiness plans for ISV technical presales and delivery associates which effectively apply Red Hat's official training and certification assets and programs * Assist ISVs in using resources like the Red Hat Product Demo System or in implementing in-house lab environments to support their training in and evaluation of Red Hat's offerings and technologies Required skills * Proven technical experience in software development or operations roles with the refactoring, migration, or development of applications and workloads to run over Linux, container (Docker), or cloud-native Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms * Experience with open source developer platforms and tools including Eclipse Che, Node. Js, Vue. Js, Github, Nexus, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Jenkins * Good technical understanding of Linux OS, Red Hat OpenShift or Docker, Kubernetes, and how they are configured to support cloud-ready applications and workloads * Solid grasp of agile software development, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and DevOps methodologies * 3+ years of experience working in a technical presales or support role * Solid communication skills;
