Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
All candidates will perform the following duties:
Operate and maintain
AN/PSC-5C Multi-Band/Multi-Mission Communication Terminal or most current
Support
Air Force Nuclear Command and Control & Communications Weapon System (AN/USQ-225) nodes
Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) system
O
perat
e and
train tactical SATCOM systems.
Monitor the day-to-day operation and institute corrective actions in response to noted anomalies.
Provide status updates during troubleshooting and confirm the reason for the outage with the designated Government POCs after resolving the problem.
M
aintain, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and operate the following types of equipment:
AN/PSC-5C Multi-Band/Multi-Mission Communication Terminal or most current.
Air Force Nuclear Command and Control & Communications Weapon System (AN/USQ-
225) nodes.
Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) system.
Cisco Routing and Switching equipment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Ability to work both in the office and in the field
In-depth knowledge of satellite communication market
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
3
years experience
operating in a tactical environment
Formal operator training for tactical SATCOM systems.
Protocol/Network Theory Experience.
Understanding, configuration and troubleshooting ability of DMVPN Architecture.
Perform routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP and RIP).
Knowledge of switching fundamentals (Virtual Local Area Network System (VLANS), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree).
Familiarity with Cisco Encryption Concepts within a DMVPN Architecture.
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Acceleration over Satellite concepts.
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred
Bachelor
’s degree in
Engineering
,
OR
an
Associate’s
degree plus
7
total years of recent specialized experience,
OR
11
total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
Network + certification.
Security + certification.
