Field Service Engineer

I am looking for a field service engineer to join a close-knit team who are passionate about not just technical support but are passionate about exceeding customers satisfaction. My client is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market assisting customers globally through their offices in Europe, USA & Brazil. 

To take on the responsibility of a field service engineer you must be customer focussed, professional and technically minded. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with customers to ensure you solve technical issues
• Install, maintain and repair complex instrumentation in hospital and labs
• Manage service parts inventory levels
• Carry out the demonstration of units and systems at prospective customer sites.
• Develop technical training for the in-house technical support teams and the application scientists
• Help train up customers in methods to best look after the instruments
• Plan and carry out business trips cost effectively and in accordance with company guidelines.

 

Experience/Qualifications

• 2+ years working in the bio-tech/medical diagnostics industry in a field service role
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry
• Experience working in a laboratory or hospital environment
• Willing to travel with occasional overnight stay (up to 0%)
• Great customer service
• Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal
• Superb time management
• Clean drivers licence
• Eligibility to work in EU
• Ideally located Freiburg area
